One of the most prominent American vibraphone players Roy Ayers who worked with as diverse musicians as Herbie Mann, Fela Kuti, or Donald Byrd is finally coming to Prague. He is one of the last living pioneers of funk, R&B and soul, continues to spread his musical legacy. His latest tour celebrates his ground-breaking 40 year career.

Once one of the most visible and acclaimed jazz vibraphonists of the 1960s, Roy Ayers made the transition from jazz to funk into the Seventies. His relaxed 1976 song "Everybody Loves the Sunshine" was one of the biggest hits of the 70s. Roy Ayers' reputation is now that of one of the prophets of acid jazz, a man decades ahead of his time. As Acid jazz and Hip Hop became a worldwide phenomenon, Roy Ayers joined the ranks of James Brown to become one of the most sampled artists of all time.
